Objective

This course provides Deck Officers on board OSV`s practical use and understanding of the AUTOLOAD vessel loading computer.

 

Participants

The course is designed for Deck Officers on board an OSV such as AHTS, PSV etc. using AUTOLOAD.

 

Content

Students completing this course will assimilate theoretical knowledge and gain practical skills to support their on board training in use of the loading computer AUTOLOAD.

 

Theory and Practical

GZ curve understanding

IMO & NMD criteria

AH stability criteria

Roll reduction tanks and FSM

Stability with pipe on deck

Cargo operations, fluid, liquid, bulks and containers

Auto ballast

SF and BM

All of the above in relation to Autoload

 

Course Pre-requisites

STCW Certificate of Competency. An understanding of ship stability.

 

Language, Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

This unit requires the ability to read and interpret typical product specifications, job sheets, procedures and safety information as provided to operators. Writing is required to the level of completing workplace forms. The course is delivered in English.

 

Assessment & Competency Achievement

There is no formal assessment carried out at the completion of the course. 100% attendance and participation in the course is required. Participants will be awarded a Certificate of Training on completion of the course.

 

Course Duration

2 Days:   Day 1 8:30am to 4:30pm

              Day 2 8:30am to 3:00pm

 

Number of Participants

Minimum 2 participants

Maximum 6 participants

 

Course Fee and Additional Service Costs

$1,870.00 ($1,700.00 + GST)

This course includes lunch and morning and afternoon tea at the centre.
